Dusing Off The Ole' Blog...

Well, hello there friends. I really don't know if anyone is out there reading this, but I thought it was time to try to start this up again. I'm going to try to see where this leads me, and where I might go with all of this and if I have any desire at all to continue to blog.

Since my last post, I turned 31. Went to Colorado. We had Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'm sure you did too. I spend Thanksgiving with my parents & grandparents, just me. My brothers were with their in-laws or stayed at home. It was definately different. Christmas was with the entire family. I basically just put myself on auto-pilot and sailed through my birthday and the holidays and made it through each of them.

A few days before New Years I flew out to Belgium, yes, in Europe. I have never had a desire to go to Europe, but I have a friend living there right now, and she suggested I come see her, so I booked a ticket and went. I spent 6 days visiting Belgium, Germany and Holland. It was a great trip, and so much fun. I got to see and experience things I never would have dreamed of. I can now say I spent New Years 2011 in Europe.

Not a lot has changed in my world since I last posted. I would love to give you some great update, but that would be a lie. I can tell you how I spent two hours at target yesterday walking up and down every aisle and spent too much money on useless stuff that I'll end up taking back...or how I picked up take-out food and ate it in my car cause I didn't want to go inside the restaurant and eat...or how I drove to Dallas last weekend just because I was bored and turned around and came home, but didn't actually go anywhere. That's my life update in a nutshell:) Yes, those are the things I do. They might not make a lot of sense to half of you, but just keeping it real here.

Until next time my friends.

Community

Community (noun) a unified body of individuals

I am blessed to have a wonderful community to do church with. I have mentioned it before, but each person has a unique role in our church, and when someone is gone, everyone has to step up to get it all done. It takes every one of us, young and old to set up and and tear down our church. Each person has a job, and each person steps up to the plate to do their job whole heartedly. Many Sunday's I have wanted to "call in sick", but I know that I will be blessed once I get there.

We all have a common interest - to share Christ's love to others. That is why we have started this church - that is why we have continued to be there every Sunday and unload and load our church into a trailer. Just recently, I have witnessed personally what it means for people of my church to support each other in tough times. I don't know what people do without a close knit community of people who support them in hard times. I am truly blessed.

And we do like to have a little fun....it was Halloween, so I had to dress up:)

Trunk or Treat 'O Fun!

Today we had our church Venture's first annual Fall Fest/Trunk or Treat! I will go on record to say it was a success! I am very excited with how it turned out! We had a great turnout too.

I went with the Disco/70's Theme for my trunk, and surprisingly it was a hit!

Me, mom & dad...mom took the Thunderbird and went 50's...Dad was a redneck...enough said...

Us with Mario, or Scott...

A cute little Minnie Mouse

We had Chick-Fil-A there and they brought thier vehicle and did a trunk too!

A great superheros trunk!

Jennifer did a pirate themed trunk and got way into character with it! It was great!

Love these little ones! And Lyndi too!

These two LOVE each other more than this picture expresses!

And I'll leave you with this fine little picture of me:)

Root, Root, Root For the Home Team!

Apparently my love for baseball started back in 2001...but I quickly forgot all of that. I have claimed many times that I have only been to a few baseball games, and never watched a World Series Game. Well, this was a total lie. My senior year in college I must have been a die hard Yankees fan because I rooted for them in the 2001 World Series with my roommate and I found some pictures to prove it.

I know you are scared by our "tough" girl expressions...especially that facepaint I have on!

We had some fun times in that house! That year they played the Arizona Diamondbacks, and from discussing this with Annalee, we played some pretty good background music against our "rival" roommates during the game:) (There is No Arizona by Jamie O'Neal).

This year, I don't have any roommates to watch the game with, and as hard as I tried to find some friends to watch it with, it didn't happen tonight...but don't think I didn't put on my gear to support my Texas team the Rangers! I even made a sign! We may not have faired too well these first two games, but its not over yet!

Miss Me????

Well, I think this is the longest I've gone between blogs. I don't even know where to begin, so I'll just post my pictures and let them do the "talking". I'll see if I can get back into the swing of things with this blogging business if anyone is still reading...anyone out there anymore???

Went to a fun 30th Surpise party for my friend Ben on a Party boat.

Helped my dad with a car show with his '57 Thunderbird and '85 Mercedes. Unfortunately, they did not win:(

Venture (our church) helped with another church and served dinner to some of the homeless in town, among other things. It was a great night.

Leah & I got a MAC makeover and were able to check one thing off of her 35 before 35 list. Another fun night!

Had birthday girls dinner's with friends

I have joined a book club and am LOVING IT!!! Our first book was Little Bee. Now we are reading The Hunger Games and I LOVE IT TOO!!!

And today, I went with some of our church families to the Pumpkin Patch and chased the kids around! Another fun-filled day! That wraps up the last 3 months of my life (or at least the activities I took pictures of)!
